In the Fetid Heats of August 'o6

things seemed to start out ok, but then it got hot and made snakes be dead, while the wasps went mad and built nests in dumb places.

i saw a black dragonfly no one else seemed to see. (those dots on the left, that's him! ignore the bird.)

it's either really hot, or chemical bleaching, or autumn sneaking in.

storms finally happened. it rains. if i use flash, it reveals a moth.

that lone crow again. and an alert rabbit i saw near a stump.

the rain made the grass too happy. it's like a bamboo forest maybe, ok. it looks fake plastic plant, but it's real.

i tried to catch lightning, but only scored velvet fog. a few days later, though, i got this liquid sky.
